As indicated by BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) information, from September 1 to 6, the city recorded more than 28% of the all-out Covid-19 cases it had recorded in the whole month of August. 

As per the Civic body data:

The information from the municipal body shows that Mumbai previously revealed 2,570 Covid-19 contaminations in the initial six days of September, which comes at 28.9 per cent of the out 9,147 cases recorded in the whole month August. 

The spike in the cases has left the BMC authorities stressed in front of the happy season starting on September 10 with the Ganesh Chaturthi. 

Suresh Kakani stated to ANI:

“One month is significant for us. As of now, individuals are going out for the ten-day Ganpati celebration (starting September 10). They will return after submersion (Anant Chaturdashi). 

Subsequently, this period and the following 15 days will be extremely vital for us,” extra civil chief Suresh Kakani told news organization ANI.

A Slight surge in Daily cases:

The city has been announcing more than 400 cases for almost seven days now. However, the BMC has ascribed the spike to relaxations given in the beyond one month and said it was not the start of the third wave. 

With the flood in everyday cases, the dynamic Covid-19 cases, which had plunged to 2,700, leapt to 3,771 as of September 6.
