Hero Cycles’ electric cycle division, Hero Lectro, has introduced the F2i and F3i, two new electric mountain bicycles (MTBs) priced at $39,999 and $40,999, respectively. The bikes are aimed at young riders looking for adventure and are designed to provide a comfortable riding experience on both urban and off-road tracks.
Hero Lectro claims that their e-MTBs are the country’s first connected e-cycles for mountain biking. They have Bluetooth and smartphone app connectivity, allowing riders to keep track of information like their rides over time. For e-bikes, the RFID bike lock provides security.
Both the Hero F2i and Hero F3i have a range of up to 35 kilometers on a single charge and are equipped with seven-speed gears, 100mm suspension, 27.5″ and 29″ double alloy rims, and dual disc brakes, among other features to meet the needs of all types of riders.
“The Hero Lectro F2i and F3i are India’s first connected e-cycles in the MTB category, and we are proud to be at the forefront of innovation in a new and growing market,” said Aditya Munjal, CEO of Hero Lectro.
Both mountain e-bikes are equipped with a 6.4Ah IP67 rated water and dust resistant battery and a 250W BLDC motor with high torque. Riders can choose from four operating modes: Pedelec (35 km range), Throttle (27 km range), Cruise Control, and Manual. The smart LED display on the bicycles can switch between these modes.
The Hero F2i and F3i electric-MTBs will be sold through Hero Lectro’s extensive dealer network, as well as the brand’s exclusive Experience Centers and Zones in Chennai and Kolkata, as well as e-commerce partners’ websites.
