Nifty declines

Around 1:35 IST on Monday, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell 743.52 points to 58902.63, and shares of Tata Power Company Ltd. fell 2.34 percent to Rs 227.25.

On the counter, a total of 1,679,649 shares worth Rs 38.33 crore were traded.

The stock’s 52-week high price was Rs. 298 and its 52-week low price was Rs. 121.75.

On technical charts, the 200-day moving average for the stock was 231.66 rupees, and the 50-day moving average was 220.86 rupees. If a stock is trading above both its 50 and 200 DMAs, it is usually in an uptrend. On the other hand, a stock is in a bearish trend if it trades below both the 50-day and 200-day moving averages. If it trades between these two moving averages, it can move in either direction.

The company’s shares have gone up by 79.79% in the past year, while the Sensex has gone up by 8.28%.

According to data from BSE, the stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 33.91 and a price-to-book ratio of 3.4. A higher P/E ratio shows that investors are willing to pay more because they expect the business to grow more in the future. Price to book value shows how much investors are willing to pay for a business even if it doesn’t grow. It also shows how much a company is worth on its own. Power Integrated is the sector that the stock is in.
