Now Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are married. Their wedding photos are all over social media. The newlyweds exited their wedding site and posed for the cameras. Soon, their friends and family congratulated them on social media.
Karan Johar, a close friend of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, was among the first to send them a meaningful message.

After five years of dating, Alia, 29, and Ranbir, 39, announced their marriage on Instagram with a series of loving photos. “We got married today, in front of our family and friends, at home, on our favourite balcony, where we’ve spent the last 5 years of our love. We can’t wait to make more moments together… “Thank you for all the love and light during this very special period in our lives. “It made this moment even more wonderful,” Ranbir and Alia captioned.
The couple arrived hand-in-hand to the rhythm of drums and folded hands to the media and supporters. Ranbir walked back to the building, holding Alia in his arms, while supporters cheered. The wedding was a close-knit affair, with the journalists stationed outside collecting snippets of information until Alia finally posted images on her social media platforms.
Ranbir doesn’t have a social media account.
Given that both Ranbir, Raj Kapoor’s grandson, and Alia, Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter, are from Bollywood households, the star power was expected and kept the cameras churning.
His mother, Neetu Kapoor, his sister Ridhima Kapoor and her family, cousins Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor, and uncle Randhir Kapoor were among those who arrived. On Alia’s side were Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Pooja Bhatt, and Shaheen. Ayan Mukerji, Karan Johar, Akash Ambani and Shlok Ambani were among the guests.
Tree lights were strung from ‘Vastu’ to the under-construction Krishna Raj building where the couple is scheduled to live. The two properties are only 180 m apart. The wedding caps a frantic week for reporters and photographers covering the much discussed star wedding.
