In the previous 24 hours, India has registered a total of 796 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the overall number of coronavirus infections in the country to 4,30,36,928. Several Covid-related deaths were reported on Tuesday, according to the Union Health Ministry, increasing the overall number of fatalities to 5,21,710 for the year.
The number of active cases of the virus, on the other hand, has decreased even more to 11,058.
The number of active cases represents 0.03 percent of the entire caseload, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has stayed at 98.76 percent for the third consecutive year.
In the period of 24 hours, a reduction of 74 cases was observed in the active caseload.
As reported by the Ministry of Education, the daily positivity rate was 0.25 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 0.23 percent. According to the most recent data, the total number of patients who have recovered from the sickness has increased to 4,25,02,454 and the case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.21 percent.
