Srinagar Airport officials deny Rahul Gandhi’s claim that Kashmiri Pandits left the Valley. Rahul Gandhi tweeted that innocent people are being slaughtered in Jammu and Kashmir and that a new migration of Kashmiri Pandits has begun. The airport authorities also asked for no rumours.
“We refute these rumours. We handle 16-18k travellers daily. Passengers are average today. As this tweet suggests, there is no minority stampede. Srinagar Airport tweeted: “Don’t spread rumours.”
The Congress leader urged Modi to restore calm in the union territory immediately. The Congress MP said those who should protect Kashmiri Pandits are supporting a film.
“Every day, bank managers, teachers, and innocent people are slain; Kashmiri Pandits are fleeing.” Protectors have no time to advertise the film. Kashmir is BJP’s power ladder. He tweeted, “Restore peace in Kashmir now.” BJP leader Kavindra Gupta said the administration and security services had worked in the past and will continue to do so.
He also told me the situation will improve.

The BJP representative attacked the past governments in the Valley, saying, “This started under Rahul Gandhi’s Congress or the PDP government around it. These are the folks that favour Pakistan; they remembered all of this today; these are the people who doubt the security forces and surgical strikes.” After the killings, there is a mood of terror, he said, and Home Minister Amit Shah has called for a big operation.
Ravinder Raina, another BJP leader, blamed Rahul Gandhi’s Congress for terrorism in Kashmir.

Official sources said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will meet on June 3 to discuss the recent killings of Kashmiri Pandits.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbagh Singh will also attend the meeting, which will begin on time in the morning.
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, CRPF DG Kuldeep Singh, and BSF commander Pankaj Singh are slated to attend.
