On Thursday, sources said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had been taken to a hospital in Delhi early on Wednesday.
Doctors looked at the Chief Minister’s stomach to see what was wrong before they decided he was sick.
An official said that Mann praised the police and the anti-gangster task force on Wednesday for a successful operation against gangsters in the state. This was after two Sidhu Moose Wala killers were killed in a gunfight with Punjab Police near Amritsar on Wednesday.
Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh were the two gangsters who were killed. Their AK-47 and a handgun were found after the fight.
A statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) here says that the state government has declared a decisive war on gangsters and other bad people in the state. As promised, the Punjab Police have had a lot of success in Amritsar with an operation against gangs.
Mann married Dr. Gurpreet Kaur on July 21, in a traditional Sikh wedding called “Anand Karaj.”
The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bhagwant Mann, took the oath of office as the chief minister of Punjab on March 16. The AAP just won by a huge margin in the Punjab Assembly elections, taking 92 seats and pushing most of its opponents to the sides. Congress got 18 of the 117 seats in the Assembly.
