Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a union minister, claimed that India has seen significant change during the past eight years under PM Modi’s leadership.
On Sunday, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the “New India” and said that many areas of India have changed in the past eight years as a result of his leadership. Considering India’s progress towards “Amritkaal, the federal minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship, electronics, and IT, stated that “PM Modi is the builder of New India” at the Vishva Sadbhavana, The Dubai Chapter event organised by NID Foundation. India has changed significantly under PM Modi’s leadership during the past eight years. Prior to 2014, India was viewed as a nation with policy paralysis, one where corruption permeated all aspects of administration, and one with a fragile democracy.”
He continued by saying that the world now views India as a country that has undergone reforms, practises transparent, accountable government, and ensures that every penny spent benefits its intended recipients directly and digitally. “In terms of infrastructure, contemporary India is developing it. The tax-to-GDP ratio and the country’s low level of FDI influx meant that there were insufficient money available under the previous administrations to spend on infrastructure development “said Chandrasekhar.
The minister said, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, real tax collection has exceeded government targets for the first time in history. This frees up funds for the government to invest in building expressways, quick trains, and ports as part of modern infrastructure. The government currently spends 7.5 lakh crores yearly on infrastructure development, which provides a solid framework for an ecosystem of transformation. More than 100 unicorns have been established over the past two years thanks to the government, led by Prime Minister Modi, making India the innovation ecosystem with the quickest growth “added he.
In contrast, he argued, during the past administrations, the average person could not have imagined receiving opportunity or funding to pursue his ambition of starting a business.
“By establishing the groundwork for a self-reliant society, PM Modi turned the worldwide epidemic that hit the world in 2020—during which the economy was suffering—into an opportunity for India. India became a worldwide manufacturing centre for providing inexpensive vaccines for the globe, in addition to generating 200 crore indigenous vaccines for its own inhabitants “said the MoS.
Additionally, India’s economy grew at the quickest rate in the world during the previous two years and had the biggest FDI influx. According to Chandrasekhar, the strong foundation PM Modi established from 2014 to 2019 by introducing several programmes like Digital India, Make In India, and Start-Up India allowed India to recover quickly from the epidemic.
In the presence of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Maktoum Bin Jumma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the MBM Group and a member of the Dubai Royal Family, Satnam Singh, Chief Patron of the NID Foundation and Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Sardar SPS Oberoi, Managing Trustee of the Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, and Prof. Himani Sood, Founder of the NID Foundation, Chandrasekhar also launched two books on PM
Chandrasekhar provided information regarding how India is becoming a manufacturing powerhouse for IT and electronics, stating that, “Before 2014, 92% of the mobile phones used by Indians were imported, and there were no exports by India in this industry. However, as of 2022, 97% of mobile phones are made in India, and more than 70,000 mobile phone cores and their components are exported to other countries thanks to the Indian government’s strong strategy to support domestic manufacturing.
