This year’s iPhone may not be as cheap as the iPhone 13 series, and people who buy the base model in 2022 may have to pay more. The price of the iPhone 14 series might be $100 more than the price of the iPhone 13 series.
The iPhone costs more in India than in the US because of high import fees, GST fees, and other costs. Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives says that people should expect prices to go up as the costs of making and putting together consumer electronics go up. Apple may charge more for the iPhone 14 series to cover the costs of making it.
Dan from Wedbush Securities told The Sun, “The price of the iPhone 14 will go up by $100.” He said that with this release, Cupertino must pass on to users the rising costs of the supply chain.
If that’s the case, the iPhone 14 may cost more than the smartphones from last year, maybe by Rs 10,000. In India, $100 is worth Rs 8,000, but Apple thinks that $1 is worth Rs 100. So, the price is likely to go up by Rs 10,000.
In India, an iPhone 13 costs Rs 79,990. The price of the iPhone 14 may be Rs 90,000. We didn’t think prices would go up this much. The analyst also said that Apple might keep its price the same, which could help sell more iPhones. Since iPhones are already expensive for many Indians, only a small number of them will be able to buy the iPhone 14 series.
Since the iPhone 14 Pro is likely to get a new look and a better camera, Apple may decide to raise their prices. We don’t expect the iPhone 14 series to make big changes in these areas, but the Pro versions may get a better chipset. There are rumours that Apple will put out the iPhone 14 on September 13.
