Following the report of 3,377 new Covid-19 illnesses in the last 24 hours, India’s overall number of Covid-19 infections has now risen to 4,30,72,176, according to statistics from the Union health ministry, which was updated on Friday (April 29, 2022).
The death toll in India has risen to 5,23,753, with 60 people dying per day as of today. The number of active cases in the country has climbed to 17,801 as a result of this increase.
In addition, the country reported 2,496 recoveries in a single day. In recent years, the number of persons who have recovered from the disease has climbed to 42530622, with the case fatality rate recorded at 1.22 percent.
In the period of 24 hours, an increase of 821 cases has been documented in the Covid-19 caseload that is now active. The government also stated that active cases account for 0.04 percent of all infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.74 percent for the past year.
The daily positivity rate was 0.71 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 0.63 percent, according to the data collected.
After eight hours, the total number of immunisation doses delivered as part of the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination programme had surpassed the figure of 188.65 crore.
Covid-19 testing were carried out in a total of 4,73,635 locations around the country in less than 24 hours.
