New Delhi: According to information on the Central Health Ministry’s website, India reported a greater number of new coronavirus cases on Friday (January 06) at 185, but no deaths.
Speaking of the overall number of ongoing cases in the nation at the moment, the figure has significantly decreased to 2554 with only 16 ongoing instances. Additionally, 201 patients with the virus were said to have recovered and been released from the hospital in the previous day. The recovery rate now stands at 98.81%.
According to data from the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), the number of COVID-19’s XBB.1.5 variant cases, which are to blame for the increase in cases in the US, also increased to seven cases in India as additional cases of the variation were discovered in Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
